We bought our first PC from IBM itself -- and they sent two technicians in suits to "install" it. We bought Aldus PageMaker software, and it required one day of instruction. We just wanted to type letters -- but with exciting things like bullet points, italics, and even bold type. Years later, I looked at a copy of the first letter I typed in PageMaker. I'd thrown every trick I could into the letter. It was a Smörgåsbord of typography.<br><br>I used new software (Filmora) to edit this video. I normally work in Avid Media Composer, but I needed Filmora's AI removal tools for a tattoo (in another video) and was impressed by how Filmora easily handled green screen (chromakey) masking. I had fun playing with the new stickers, transitions, etc., that I found in Filmora -- so this video is a bit like my first PageMaker letter.
